RESTORATION AND SETTING IN VALUE OF THE “CASA DE LA PIEDRA”

Noli me tangere o cómo hacer de una casa un monumento

On the side of Paseo de Jesús stands the “Casa de la Piedra”, an artisanal monument made entirely of stone from the quarries of Porcuna (Jaén). The author of this work was the local stonecutter Antonio Aguilera Rueda, to whom he dedicated 29 years of his life to carry it out. The house was made without any project, only with the logical knowledge developed by a person dedicated to the extraction of the stone.
