A RUIN
The project of rehabilitation and enhancement that is expected for the building of the Church of Santa Ana will adopt the use of “The archaeological sites of Obvlco visitors reception centre”, recently declared BIC, as per Decree 109/2014 July 1. The project aims to be the meeting place of the visitors and meeting point from which proceed with the visit of the various archaeological excavations, Church of San Benito and Roman cistern in La Calderona. The proposal of intervention faced at different levels:

At the level of conservation of the property
Chemical conservation: the treatment of each of the chemical pathologies affecting the structure by chemical procedure. Washing of walls with nanoparticles of lime for hardening of ashlars and elimination of organic remains, and the application of nanoparticles of silica for the silting up of chemical voids will be the first step to recovery from the walls.
Physical conservation: for the restoration of physical conditions of the building, expected the removal of those elements that present instability or pose risk of collapse for the building. Thus the rear, still stone Ashlar wall, but due to severe injuries, we assume, after a visu analysis, must be dismantled. Since parts have been altered to make the internal space, parts of the Setup will become new, still preserving the scale and dimensions of the old ones. Together with deforestation and ski lift, expected the banding of the foundations of the load-bearing wall. This strapping will take place through a concrete beam perimeter wall that will support the metal structure that will allow the musealisation of the archaeological walk.

At the level of conservation of the archaeological
Excavation: The first phase of the intervention, one time solved the most pressing structural pathologies, will be the intensive excavation of the Church. The intensive excavation of the Church will be carried out from a double perspective: on the one hand research since it will give birth to new space in the city of Obvlco and on the other hand implementation in own property value, since this excavation made in the new architecture will be a new claim of visit in the municipality.
Museology: Once excavated the basement of the church be putting in value of the remains, so they have a logical and didactic and sympathetic reading at the asset level and touristy.

At the level of architectural intervention
PROGRAM: The program raised in the architectural proposal is based on a versatile space that serve both to receive the visitors, allowing the screening of a documentary video training on the elements that will be visited and at the same time a space allowing to be excavated in extension, already since that time, with a simple change of lighting in-situ observe the Roman city. The programme therefore will be an open-plan room, a small toilet giving place to the minimal requirements and storage space to store the logical provisioning of the exploitation of this space.
LIGHT: Given the low margin of intervention in this area of such small dimensions, the project proposes an innovative use of lighting. On the one hand the ambient lighting to the room with an independent circuit. On the other hand the remains of lighting, with a circuit dedicated to the enhancement of archaeology and a third lighting circuit dedicated to the own property. These three ways of illuminating the building will allow, according to the momentary use, alter one or the other.
